Human Scale
Monumental installation presented at the Zamość Forts in 1991, Human Scale reflects on the fragility of life and the place of man within structures shaped by conflict and destruction.

Human Scale
Presented at the Zamość Forts in 1991, Human Scale is one of Józef Krzysztof Oraczewski’s key installation works, confronting the viewer with the question of human measure in a world shaped by violence, history, and the structures built to contain both. Set within a military architecture marked by the logic of conflict, the work transformed space into a reflection on life, vulnerability, and moral proportion. Its symbolic field moves between destruction and responsibility, between what is built in the name of force and what remains irreducibly human. In Human Scale, Oraczewski turns monumentality into an ethical language, asking not only how man inhabits history, but how he is measured against it.
