Venice is often represented through spectacle. Venice Whispers turns instead toward the moments that barely announce themselves: a reflection, changing daylight, a trace held in stone or water. In this body of work, the city is not simply a subject to depict but an atmosphere through which perception and memory become active.
Developed for Oraczewski’s Venice presentations and documented at A Space Gallery during the 2024 Biennale season, the project connects his layered surfaces and luminous passages with the precarious permanence of the city. Forms appear as echoes rather than descriptions. The works invite the viewer to return, noticing how an apparently stable image can change with time, distance and attention.
