Monumentality in Oraczewski’s practice is not simply a matter of dimensions. A large painting changes the relation between image and body: a viewer must adjust distance, follow passages of detail and move between an immediate impression and the composition as a whole.
This curatorial selection brings together works such as Eye of Providence, Ascent and Cracovians and Highlanders, placing distinct subjects into a conversation about light, history, collective symbols and individual aspiration. They are not presented as one historical series. Instead, the group shows how scale can intensify the artist’s recurring concerns while allowing very different visual languages to remain distinct.
