Pegasi

Oraczewski returns to the winged horse because it gives visible form to an impossible but deeply human desire: to move beyond the limits of ordinary experience. His pegasi fly, run and leap. Myth becomes a language for imagination, independence and the persistent effort of reaching beyond what seems possible.

The portfolio includes Blue Pegasus paintings from 2013 and Golden Pegasus from 2015, works in which colour and the physical energy of painting alter the emotional presence of this ancient figure. The Pegasus is not simply an emblem of escape. It carries the tension between aspiration and embodiment, joining the artist’s larger dialogue between freedom, responsibility, the material world and spiritual possibility.
